About the role
The Technology Director is a visionary technical leader responsible for overseeing platform development and guiding the technical evolution of the enterprise. You will lead a distributed team of Tech Leads, developers, QA, DevOps, and content authors while ensuring high‑quality delivery and alignment with business growth.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the platform development team in implementing technical architecture, standards, and best practices.
- Oversee enterprise platform technologies including AEM, microservices, APIs, React, and cloud infrastructure.
- Establish and maintain technical standards, processes, and documentation.
- Build strong distributed teams and foster effective collaboration across locations.
- Hire, mentor, evaluate, and develop high‑performing team members.
- Serve as the in‑house expert on platform technologies and mentor others.
- Manage technical relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to business development through technical consulting and requirements gathering.
- Own delivery and development quality standards.
Required profile
- 5+ years of professional experience delivering enterprise web solutions.
- 3+ years of proven technical leadership on CMS‑backed web projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and team‑management skills with strategic business thinking.
- Empathetic leader who identifies, develops, and recognizes high performers.
- Excellent problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in multi‑disciplinary environments (creative, analytics, delivery teams).
- Passion for technology innovation and staying current with industry trends.
- Proven success leading web/platform development teams through high‑pressure, timeline‑driven projects.
Required skills
- Java and Spring Framework.
- Microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Git, Maven, Jenkins (build automation).
- SQL and database design concepts.
- React, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
- Enterprise CMS platforms, preferably Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
- Jira and Confluence for project management.
- Cross‑browser compatibility, accessibility, SEO best practices, and web standards.
- Responsive web design and mobile‑first development.
- DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure or similar).
- Headful and headless AEM implementations.
- GraphQL and modern API technologies.
- Application security best practices and compliance requirements.
