Technical Coordinator

About the role

The Technical Coordinator works closely with engineering, software development, and QA teams to understand how VMware‑based virtual machines are used, the workloads they support, and the underlying infrastructure requirements. This role translates those insights into practical placement recommendations, guiding teams on whether to use dedicated hypervisor resources or shared virtualization platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with development and QA stakeholders to capture workload purpose, performance, availability, security, and compliance needs.
• Inventory and assess existing VMware environments, including VM sizing, resource utilization, growth forecasts, and feature dependencies such as vMotion, DRS, and snapshots.
• Identify patterns across teams to propose consolidation or standardisation opportunities.
• Analyse workload characteristics and recommend dedicated hypervisor clusters or shared platforms, documenting clear decision criteria.
• Collaborate with platform, storage, network, and security teams to validate recommendations and produce structured artifacts.
• Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Provide advisory guidance on VMware best practices, capacity planning, and modernization opportunities (non‑operational).

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure or virtualization engineering.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
