Supply Chain Manager

About the role

Walmart’s Sourcing Division is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to act as the end‑to‑end control tower for export cargo originating in Central America and the Caribbean, with the United States as the sole destination. Based in Costa Rica, you will coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage capacity, mitigate risk, and continuously improve processes to deliver cargo at the lowest delivered cost while meeting compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor shipment execution and E2E visibility from origin to final US destination.
• Manage daily yard control, inventory balance, and container age to avoid demurrage fees.
• Produce performance reports, KPIs and scorecards that drive accountability.
• Maintain strong relationships with ocean carriers, steamship lines and freight forwarders, securing capacity and resolving service issues.
• Lead direct reports and cross‑functional projects, driving continuous improvement of tools and processes.
• Align stakeholders with divergent priorities, remove operational roadblocks and influence decisions without direct authority.

Required profile

• Proven experience in export logistics or supply chain management for commodity cargo.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to anticipate issues and act proactively.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across multiple functional teams.
• Leadership experience managing direct reports and cross‑functional projects.
