Supplier Relationship Manager II

About the role

As a Supplier Relationship Manager II within Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Clinical Research Group, you will independently manage supplier relationships and performance for assigned suppliers or service categories, ensuring cost, quality, delivery, and compliance expectations are met.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day supplier relationship management and translate business requirements into measurable performance objectives.
• Lead routine supplier performance reviews, drive corrective and preventive actions, and identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Total Cost of Ownership principles to improve supplier outcomes and resolve operational issues.
• Develop and maintain supplier dashboards and scorecards, analyze performance data, and provide insights to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Quality, Clinical Operations, and Finance to support supplier segmentation, governance, and cross‑functional initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field (advanced degree or certifications such as Lean, Six Sigma, PMP preferred).
• 4+ years of experience in Supplier Management, Strategic Sourcing or Supply Chain Operations within a regulated environment (pharma, medical device, biotech).
• Experience with clinical trials and proven ability to lead supplier performance improvement initiatives.
