Supplier Engineer I

About the role

This entry‑level position supports the materials function for Cartago’s site, focusing on qualification and assessment of supplied materials used in injection‑molding components. Working under close supervision, you will gain hands‑on experience with engineering methods, supplier interaction, and basic financial tracking of project budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine technical tasks such as material qualification activities (AAC/MQ), completing eCMA forms, and creating Change Requests.
• Assist senior engineers with writing and verifying raw‑material specifications, developing inspection procedures, and establishing test methods.
• Interface with component suppliers to investigate material issues, supply constraints, and support NCEP investigations for defective parts.
• Use statistical tools to analyze inspection data and assist in root‑cause analysis.
• Prepare basic technical reports and communicate status updates to internal teams.
• Support on‑site troubleshooting at supplier facilities under guidance.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career engineer seeking a developmental role.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work under close supervision.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn business processes and financial tracking of project budgets.
