Strategic Sourcing Manager

About the role

Leads the sourcing management process, defining and implementing sourcing strategies for products and services, particularly in heavily regulated industries such as healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate sourcing strategies, evaluate high‑profile options, and develop long‑term category profiles, savings plans and forecasts.
• Manage the end‑to‑end sourcing cycle: create RFPs, evaluate proposals, negotiate pricing and contract terms, and recommend award decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement of sourcing processes, implement solutions to optimize contract value, and ensure supplier compliance with quality, payment and shipping requirements.
• Provide developmental opportunities, coach team members, set performance goals and foster cross‑functional collaboration.
• Translate business plans into tactical actions, monitor progress, remove obstacles and ensure policies and procedures are followed.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of experience in purchasing, contracting, material management, finance or a related field (or nine years without a degree).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Material Management, Economics or related discipline.
• At least three years in a leadership role, with experience managing operational or project budgets.
• Two years of experience in a heavily regulated industry such as healthcare or banking.
