Staff Backend Engineer (Node.js + TypeScript) – Remote

About the role

Join BairesDev as a Staff Backend Engineer to shape the architecture of critical data infrastructure. You will lead complex technical initiatives, mentor engineering teams, and solve challenging problems involving multi‑tenant data flows, graph‑based systems, and distributed architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural decisions for complex data‑moving projects and multi‑tenant data flows.
• Design and implement sophisticated data pipelines and graph‑based data structures.
• Define and implement observability strategies for distributed systems.
• Guide and mentor engineers on best practices for data architecture and interoperability.

Required profile

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, graph traversal, hashing, and recursion.
• Experience building data pipelines and ensuring API/service interoperability.
• Advanced English communication skills.
