Specialist, Payroll Tax - Bilingual

About the role

The Payroll Tax Specialist will oversee tax compliance across multiple states and entities on a pay‑period basis. Acting as the subject‑matter expert, you will manage filings, reporting, and reconciliation of payroll taxes in partnership with third‑party vendors and internal finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, reconcile and support tax compliance for multi‑state, multi‑entity payroll.
• Serve as SME for tax filings, reporting and reconciliation with third‑party tax vendors and agencies.
• Prepare quarter‑end and year‑end tax reports, including W‑2s and 941 filings.
• Track legislative changes, tax rule updates and recommend process improvements or new technologies.
• Maintain payroll‑related tax accounts within vendor systems and prepare accounting reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Finance on account structure changes and journal entries.
• Conduct internal audits of payroll tax data and support external audit requests.
• Maintain relationships with third‑party tax vendors and address tax exceptions with Payroll Managers.

Required profile

• Experience in payroll tax compliance within a multi‑state, multi‑entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll tax regulations (e.g., 941, W‑2).
• Preferred FPC or CPP designation.
• Bilingual communication skills.
