Solution Support Specialist - Order Entry

About the role

TD SYNNEX is hiring a Solution Support Specialist who performs order entry and acts as the main point of contact for customers and suppliers on order-management issues for products within a major business group. The role covers the order fulfillment process, order review and entry, backlog management and coordination with internal and external resources.

Key responsibilities

• Review and enter orders to meet customers' expectations for on-time shipment while keeping quality standards.
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers about product status.
• Make adjustments in purchasing, backlog management, integration, engineering and shipping/traffic as needed.
• Manage backlogs: monitor order progress, investigate and decide on issues such as shipping, RMAs, damage, lost goods insurance, order tracking and revisions, and escalate exceptions and critical situations.
• Ensure margin integrity by following exception processes for sales management approval where necessary.
• Keep the customer informed and maintain accurate information for them.
• Coordinate Customer-Owned Inventory (COI) purchase orders and generate COI inventory reports if applicable.
• Follow the order through invoicing and help research and resolve order issues.

Required profile

• B2+ to C1 English (upper-intermediate to advanced), with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate mainly by telephone and e-mail with suppliers and customers.
• Basic knowledge of supply chain procedures, distribution industry, product, pricing, customer service and sales strategy.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Two years of progressive experience in a sales, customer service, warehouse or product support role, or a combination of post-high-school education and experience.
• High school or equivalent education.

• Critical thinking and decision-making to apply process guidelines and solve problems.
