Solution Architect – Data Integration (6‑month contract)

About the role

Applaudo Studios is looking for a Solution Architect to bridge finance and engineering during a 6‑month contract. You will translate a complex subscription billing model into actionable data requirements for the integration team and guide stakeholders through a migration from a legacy accounting system to Zuora.

Key responsibilities

• Translate Zuora’s billing model into clear data requirements for integration.
• Lead business analysis for custom billing rules, revenue recognition, and reporting not covered by Zuora professional services.
• Guide finance and business stakeholders through the legacy‑to‑Zuora transformation, providing step‑by‑step guidance.
• Interpret Zuora’s data model and billing logic to unblock the integration team, acting as a partial platform advisor.
• Facilitate decision‑making and trade‑off discussions with the controller and finance stakeholders.
• Maintain stakeholder communication and technical continuity during the hand‑over period.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven business analysis experience, including requirements gathering, process mapping and gap analysis.
• Strong subscription and billing domain knowledge (recurring revenue, invoicing, payment lifecycle).
• Prior ERP or accounting system migration experience.
• Advanced English fluency for executive‑level collaboration with a US‑based finance team.

Required skills

• Zuora platform knowledge (billing, revenue, CPQ modules).
• Google Cloud Platform ecosystem awareness, including BigQuery, Looker and Data Studio.
• Data‑literacy skills: reading pipeline logic, validating data flows and QA outputs.
