Software Engineer (Remote – Costa Rica)

About the role

As a Software Engineer at GreenSlate you will help build the entertainment industry’s most advanced production‑finance platform. Working remotely from Costa Rica, you will collaborate with product designers and a craft‑focused engineering team using a modern stack that includes C#, JavaScript, TypeScript and microservices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop features in a fast‑paced environment following a solid SDLC with branching, pull requests, CI and QA.
• Apply SOLID principles, test‑driven development and other best‑practice techniques daily.
• Participate in stand‑ups across New York and Los Angeles, pair‑programming sessions and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Complete an extensive onboarding covering architecture, technologies and engineering practices.
• Maintain a responsive single‑page application powered by a RESTful API and monitor technical debt with code‑analysis tools.

Required profile

• 1+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong passion for software craftsmanship and excellent English communication.
• Professionalism, solid work ethic and a sense of humor.

Required skills

• C# or Java.
• JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML/CSS.
• Relational databases and ORM frameworks.
• .NET, Spring or Rails back‑end frameworks.
• React, Angular or Vue.js front‑end frameworks.
• Unit testing, object‑oriented design, microservices and RESTful APIs.
