Software Engineer (Mid‑level .NET Focus)

About the role

Experian is seeking a mid‑level Software Engineer to join its backend team. You will work on understanding, maintaining, and refactoring legacy .NET applications while helping to modernize the platform for future cloud readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and refactor complex legacy .NET codebases to improve maintainability, scalability, and performance.
• Develop robust backend services using C# and .NET/.NET Core.
• Implement and maintain distributed messaging patterns with RabbitMQ, NServiceBus, Kafka or similar.
• Design and enhance data access layers using Entity Framework Core.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, build processes, and deployment strategies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in Agile ceremonies and translate requirements into technical solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience with C#.NET, and .NET Core.
• Proven experience refactoring legacy codebases and working with distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with Entity Framework Core and relational data modeling.
