Software Engineer – AI & LLM Integration

About the role

Moody's is looking for a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable applications that embed Large Language Model (LLM) capabilities. You will work across front‑end, back‑end, and automation layers to boost developer productivity and business efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and support production‑grade Java services using Spring Boot and REST APIs.
• Create modern web interfaces with Angular and TypeScript.
• Write Python scripts for automation, integration, and workflow tooling.
• Integrate provider‑agnostic LLM APIs into applications, handling prompt design and retrieval‑augmented generation.
• Implement AI‑powered solutions while adhering to responsible AI and risk‑management practices.
• Maintain code quality through testing, debugging, documentation, and best‑practice engineering standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience delivering full‑stack production software.
• Strong background in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, and Python.
• Hands‑on experience with LLM APIs and AI tooling.
