Social Media Expert

About the role

The Social Media Expert will develop, curate, and publish platform‑native content while ensuring brand compliance and community engagement across Bayer's social channels.

Key responsibilities

• Create and schedule copy, images, graphics, and videos for social platforms, maintaining monthly and quarterly content calendars.
• Launch and maintain social media accounts, keeping profile information aligned with brand guidelines.
• Engage daily with the community by responding to comments, direct messages, and mentions, and escalating sensitive topics as needed.
• Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Medical/Regulatory, Creative, and Media Activation teams to ensure content compliance.
• Monitor performance, track KPIs, prepare monthly reports and provide data‑driven recommendations.
• Support small paid social initiatives, including boosting, audience selection and basic optimization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Digital Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing brand social media channels with an organic‑first approach.
• Portfolio demonstrating developed and published social media content.
• Experience in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals or healthcare is a plus.
• Strong written communication, analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Advanced English proficiency in reading, writing and speaking.

Required skills

• Proficiency with social media scheduling, monitoring and analytics tools such as Sprinklr, Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Sprout Social or Meltwater.
• Basic knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA4), UTM tracking and social media performance metrics.
