SoC Logic Design Engineer

About the role

Intel is seeking a SoC Logic Design Engineer to develop and optimize RTL designs for System‑on‑Chip projects. You will integrate IP blocks, ensure power, performance and timing goals, and contribute to high‑quality silicon that powers cutting‑edge technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop RTL designs for SoC, integrating IP blocks and subsystems into full chip designs.
• Participate in defining architecture and micro‑architecture features for design blocks.
• Perform quality checks on logic design to ensure convergence in timing, power and functionality.
• Apply optimization strategies for power, performance, area and timing.
• Review verification plans, resolve RTL test issues and follow secure development practices.
• Collaborate with IP providers for integration and validation at the SoC level.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electronics, electrical engineering, computer science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in VLSI logic design or verification.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Intermediate English communication skills and unrestricted permanent right to work in Costa Rica.

Required skills

• SystemVerilog, OVM/UVM, object‑oriented programming.
• Major EDA tools: Synopsys VCS, Fusion Compiler, Spyglass, Cadence Conformal, Xcelium, Siemens Mentor Graphics Tessent.
• Operating systems: Unix/Linux and Windows.
• Experience with RTL quality checks and simulation debugging tools such as Verdi and DVE.
