Senior Technician, Maintenance (Shift B)

About the role

Edwards Lifesciences, a global structural heart innovation company, is hiring a Senior Technician, Maintenance (Shift B) to support equipment maintenance, validation and documentation in its medical device manufacturing environment. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and reporting, and may lead small projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform weekly preventive maintenance routines to avoid equipment downtime
• Check for equipment failures, carry out corrective actions and write impact assessment reports of incidents
• Run experiments and tests following protocols to validate and improve equipment and manufacturing processes, then report findings to Engineering
• Review documentation and ensure it is properly catalogued and validated, including transferring information to ECRs, SOPs, drawings and tooling for Engineering approval
• Propose improvements such as redesign of equipment, tools and fixtures, and lead small projects on equipment validation, investigation and testing
• Troubleshoot basic manufacturing equipment and use manufacturing software (JDE, QMS, PLM) to update documentation
• Coach and guide technicians

Required profile

• H.S. Diploma and Technician degree
• 4 years of related experience, such as GMP, clean room, medical device or automated equipment
• Available to work Shift B (Monday to Saturday)
• Ability to work under limited supervision and strict attention to detail

Required skills

• Good written and verbal communication and problem-solving methodology
• Root cause analysis and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Computer skills, including MS Office Suite
• Basic knowledge of validation of automated equipment and preventive maintenance of production equipment
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, electronic, pneumatic and controls systems
• Knowledge of Edwards environmental health, safety and quality guidelines for clean room medical device manufacturing
