Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Walmart Global Tech is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to drive the development of complex software, data, and AI/ML platforms. You will shape engineering direction, ensure scalability and reliability, and partner with product, data science, and platform teams to deliver enterprise‑scale solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of software, data, and AI/ML platforms across multiple distributed teams.
• Define and execute engineering strategy that balances long‑term platform scalability with short‑term business priorities.
• Drive operational excellence through DevOps discipline, observability, monitoring, and system health management.
• Partner with product, data science, and platform leaders to align roadmaps and delivery plans.
• Manage capacity planning, backlog prioritization, and resource allocation.
• Influence enterprise architecture decisions and ensure alignment across global engineering teams.
• Build, mentor, and develop high‑performing engineering leaders and teams.

Required profile

• Strong experience leading large‑scale, enterprise software platforms with high availability, reliability, and performance requirements.
• Seasoned engineering leader with deep technical expertise, strategic mindset, and execution discipline.
• Proven ability to influence architecture decisions and coordinate cross‑functional execution.
