Senior Scrum Master – Agile Delivery Lead

About the role

The Senior Scrum Master will guide one or more Scrum teams through the full delivery lifecycle, partnering with Product Owners, stakeholders and other Agile practitioners. Acting as a servant‑leader, you will create an environment that empowers teams to deliver high‑quality, incremental value while fostering continuous improvement across Humana’s agile transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Coach Scrum teams on Scrum and SAFe practices, ensuring high‑quality product delivery.
• Facilitate all Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Review, Retrospective) and support PI Planning, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt sessions.
• Mentor Product Owners in backlog refinement, user‑story creation, and prioritisation.
• Remove impediments, make work visible, and use metrics to demonstrate team capacity and predictability.
• Apply change‑management frameworks (Kotter’s Leading Change, PROSCI ADKAR) to help teams navigate organisational change.
• Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to share best practices and contribute to Communities of Practice.
• Make independent decisions on moderately complex issues, set priorities, and determine timelines for own work.

Required profile

• Typically 5+ years of experience in Scrum Master or Agile Coach roles.
• Proven ability to lead teams toward high performance, self‑organisation and continuous improvement.
• Strong judgment, initiative and the capacity to adapt quickly to changing team or department needs.
• Experience influencing departmental strategies and working independently.
