Senior SAP ABAP Developer

About the role

The Senior SAP ABAP Developer will design and deliver scalable application solutions that address complex business challenges, ensuring operational excellence for L.L.Bean.

Key responsibilities

• Design high‑level and detailed specifications, configure SAP ECC, and develop custom ABAP code.
• Partner with vendors on COTS software selection, implementation, configuration, and integration.
• Develop integration requirements, collaborate with integration developers, and execute testing plans including unit, system, integration and user‑acceptance testing.
• Provide 24x7 production support, on‑call day and after‑hours, and continuously optimize existing applications.

Required profile

• 4‑year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
• 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1).

Required skills

• Strong ABAP programming and SAP ECC development.
• Knowledge of SAP transport system and debugging tools.
• Experience with PERL, MQ Series, EI, Java, JavaScript, Linux, SQL, XML, Webservices, relational databases, Data Warehouse/Data Mart, BI, caching solutions, APIs, C, Struts, WebSphere Application Server, OB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Eclipse, RAD.
• Familiarity with source code control, issue tracking, testing tools (including automated testing), and SAP BW/SRM development.
