Senior Operations Manager – Data Labeling

About the role

Prime Air is looking for a Senior Operations Manager to lead the Data for Autonomous Aircraft (DA2) Labeling Operations team. You will own the end‑to‑end operational strategy, delivery execution, people leadership, and vendor management for a multi‑workstream data annotation operation that fuels algorithm development for safe, automated drone deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Define metrics, goals, and long‑term operational strategy for the labeling organization in an ambiguous environment.
• Establish workflows, service‑level agreements, and audit mechanisms across VTOL semantic segmentation, Forward Collision Warning, and Mid‑Air Collision Alert workstreams.
• Negotiate priorities, manage escalations, and mitigate long‑term risks while delivering quality, efficiency, and vendor performance.
• Lead a team of managers and individual contributors across multiple locations, building and adapting structures to solve complex problems.
• Own leadership reporting (MBR, WBR, Kingpin Reviews) and flex resources to meet results.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience managing large‑scale data annotation or labeling operations.
• Strong ability to operate in undefined, ambiguous spaces and translate customer problems into actionable goals.
• Demonstrated people‑leadership skills, including managing managers and cross‑functional teams.
• Experience influencing stakeholders across technical and product organizations.
