Senior Maintenance Technician

About the role

Zimmer Biomet is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to maintain, construct, install, move, and repair production machinery and equipment across the manufacturing facility. The role supports both factory and office operations, ensuring equipment reliability and minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, disconnect, move, and reconnect machines within the manufacturing environment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machining, manufacturing, and facility equipment and suggest improvements.
• Test equipment, clear jams, and set aside product for inspection and rework.
• Train production operators on equipment handling and material flow.
• Document all work according to the quality system and ensure post‑maintenance qualification.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of industrial machine repair experience (electrical and mechanical).
• Trade qualification in an electrical or mechanical discipline.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised, handle multiple high‑priority tasks and meet Controlled Environment Area requirements.

Required skills

• Repair of hand tools, machine tools and electrical measuring instruments.
• Maintenance of CNC machine tools, including spindle bearings, ball screws, spindle headstocks, axis feed systems.
• Hydraulics and pneumatics troubleshooting.
