Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

Infosys BPM Limited is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to lead a team responsible for contract management, compliance, and legal risk mitigation. You will oversee project deliverables, ensure high‑quality work products, and support global operations from Costa Rica.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a legal team, enforce process compliance, and resolve escalations.
• Prepare project deliverable plans and ensure they meet defined quality standards.
• Draft, negotiate, redline, abstract, and summarize IT and procurement contracts.
• Review and critically interpret contract provisions, identifying industry‑specific risks.
• Support corporate legal requirements such as information security, IP compliance, and data privacy.
• Conduct legal research as needed and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Create standard operating procedures, workflows, and training materials.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) and at least 6 years of relevant contract management experience.
• Strong domain knowledge of contracts, especially IT, procurement, and M&A.
• Ability to work under defined KPIs/SLA, manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines, and keep the team motivated.
• Experience with large and complex deal structures; understanding of US and EU laws is a plus.
• Work authorization for Costa Rica that does not require employer sponsorship.

Required skills

• Proficiency with industry‑standard CLM platforms.
• Exposure to artificial‑intelligence or automation tools for contract processes.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
