Senior Facilities Supervisor - Medical Device Manufacturing

About the role

CBRE is looking for a Senior Facilities Supervisor in Alajuela, Costa Rica, to lead the technical team responsible for the operation, maintenance and regulatory compliance of critical equipment, utilities and infrastructure in a medical device manufacturing facility. The role ensures the operational continuity of controlled environments and cleanrooms under strict safety, quality and Costa Rican regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, guide and set daily maintenance priorities (preventive, predictive and corrective) for the technical staff.
• Oversee Building Management Systems (BMS), clean utilities, chillers, boilers, compressed air systems and electrical distribution.
• Lead technical maintenance and corrective/preventive actions.
• Coordinate specialized vendors and ensure compliance with local regulations, as well as EHS, NFPA and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Industrial Maintenance Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance and supervision.
• Advanced verbal and written English (mandatory).
• On-site work Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with availability for emergencies.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with CMMS platforms, environmental variable control (humidity, pressure, temperature) and CAPA/RCA processes.
• Technical knowledge of AHUs, chillers, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, exhaust systems, compressed air, process cooling water, electrical distribution, generators, UPS systems, ATS, BMS and clean utilities.
