Senior Director, Clinical Data Management – Hematology

About the role

The Senior Director, Clinical Data Management Therapeutic Area Lead for Hematology provides strategic and operational oversight of data management delivery across the hematology therapeutic area. This senior leader drives portfolio planning, resource management, and cross‑functional alignment to meet global data management standards and enterprise priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the therapeutic‑area portfolio strategy, roadmap, and study sequencing while balancing resources, timelines, and risks.
• Partner with geographic Clinical Data Management leaders to ensure seamless global delivery and risk‑based, quality‑by‑design execution.
• Collaborate with Clinical, Biostatistics, Data Integration, Standards, and analytics teams to embed automation, standards, and data‑integration practices.
• Forecast capability and capacity needs, optimizing on‑shore, off‑shore, and contingent delivery models.
• Lead quality governance, inspection readiness, CAPA tracking, and risk management across the portfolio.
• Serve as escalation point for complex study issues, capture lessons learned, and drive enterprise‑wide transformation initiatives.
• Set objectives, assign work, conduct performance reviews, coach, and develop career plans for the team.
• Lead recruiting, hiring, and employee‑relations matters in partnership with HR.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in clinical data management and therapeutic‑area leadership, preferably in hematology.
• Proven ability to develop and execute strategic roadmaps and manage large, cross‑functional programs.
• Strong stakeholder management and partnership skills across global regions.
• Demonstrated experience in people management, coaching, and talent development.
