Senior Cloud Engineer

About the role

Join Sparq as a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable cloud solutions using Azure or AWS while supporting on‑premises environments. You will lead infrastructure security, automate deployments, and integrate AI tools to enhance productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable cloud and infrastructure solutions on Azure or AWS, with on‑premises support as needed.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) to automate provisioning, configuration, and environment management.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable, secure application and infrastructure deployments.
• Implement append‑only, tamper‑evident audit logging and comprehensive monitoring/observability solutions.
• Develop and enforce security guardrail policies using Open Policy Agent (OPA) or Cedar.
• Manage IAM controls, role‑based permissions, and secure access policies.
• Lead security hardening efforts, vulnerability remediation, and compliance support.
• Utilize AI tools such as Claude to streamline tasks and promote AI adoption.
