Senior Business Analyst

About the role

AstraZeneca is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead in‑depth financial analysis and support regional planning for its operations. The role involves close collaboration with senior management and cross‑functional teams to drive data‑driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed financial analyses of budgets, forecasts and actual results for senior management review.
• Coordinate and create presentations for regional senior management, the Group CFO and other key meetings.
• Lead the enterprise‑wide planning cycle for the region and consolidate business planning data.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of business drivers, risk factors and industry trends to inform analyses.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for planning and monthly reporting processes.
• Perform ad‑hoc reporting and financial analysis as required.

Required profile

• B.S. degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Knowledge of regional operating models and strong analytical abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
• Proven ability to manage multiple, changing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
• Desirable experience in the pharmaceutical industry; MBA or CPA qualification.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP.
• Experience using Business Warehouse (BW).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• PowerPoint for presentation development.
