Senior Backend Engineer – AI & Platform Systems

About the role

Publicis Global Delivery is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build and operate intelligent, data‑driven web platforms that embed modern AI capabilities. You will act as a senior technical contributor, own solution architecture at the project level and collaborate with architects, product leaders and cross‑capability teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver production‑grade web applications in small, cross‑functional teams.
• Design and implement server‑side services (RESTful APIs) using Java.NET/C# or Python.
• Integrate Large Language Models, AI APIs, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation and vector‑search technologies.
• Develop data schemas and integrate relational databases to support AI‑driven solutions.
• Build responsive front‑ends with HTML, CSS and modern JavaScript patterns.
• Maintain cloud deployments (AWS, Azure or GCP) and manage web/application servers (Apache, Tomcat, IIS, Node).
• Ensure code quality through unit, integration and test‑driven development.
• Apply web security best practices and create accessible, standards‑compliant applications.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience delivering end‑to‑end web solutions.
• Proven ability to work in agency or consultancy environments.
• Strong architectural mindset with a focus on AI‑enabled platforms.
• Mentoring and knowledge‑sharing attitude.
