Senior Architect, AI & Cloud Security

About the role

As a Senior Architect for AI & Cloud Security, you will lead the design, implementation, operation and maintenance of information security technologies at Edwards Lifesciences. You will create scalable security architectures that enable the secure adoption of emerging GenAI solutions and support the company’s patient‑focused mission.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement secure architectures for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and AI/GenAI solutions.
• Provide architectural guidance for enterprise‑level security initiatives and system integrations.
• Lead the development of cyber security controls, processes and functions across multiple projects.
• Maintain security framework patterns and ensure documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Act as a business liaison and advisor for one or more business units.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with infrastructure security on AWS and/or Azure.
• Knowledge of at least three cybersecurity domains (e.g., platform, application, network, cloud, data, IAM).
• Expertise in designing secure architectures for LLMs, generative AI systems, RAG pipelines and autonomous AI agents.
• Familiarity with STRIDE threat modeling and OWASP Top 10 AI frameworks.
• Ability to produce technical documentation and mentor colleagues.
