Senior Analytics Data Engineer

About the role

IBM Consulting is looking for a senior professional to lead analytics initiatives for its clients. You will design advanced data models, build reporting frameworks and mentor team members while working with modern cloud data platforms and BI tools.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of dimensional data models, semantic layers and data quality checks.
• Design, build and optimise dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, Sigma Computing or other client‑required tools.
• Work with Snowflake and other cloud data platforms to support analytics workloads and drive governance initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership, set standards, review designs and mentor junior engineers.
• Partner with client stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver demos, training and ongoing support.
• Implement data validation, security (RBAC) and governance policies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (preferred) and extensive experience in analytics engineering, BI or data analytics.
• Proven end‑to‑end data process expertise from ingestion to analytics.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with major BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Sigma, Looker, etc.).
• Deep knowledge of dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schemas) and cloud platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Excellent communication, client‑facing experience and ability to mentor teams.
• Fluent English.
