Security Analyst, SOC

About the role

TradeStation is seeking a Security Analyst to join its Information Security team. The analyst will focus on preventing cyber security incidents by monitoring, detecting, and analyzing potential intrusions across a multi‑platform environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily review and triage of security alerts, dashboards, SIEM/SOAR systems, and threat intelligence platforms.
• Validate suspicious events, conduct initial root‑cause analysis, and escalate confirmed threats.
• Analyze logs, identify gaps in log collection, and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with the SOC team to reduce false positives and conduct threat‑hunting activities using indicators of compromise.
• Stay current on AI‑based attack techniques (adversarial ML, AI‑assisted phishing, deepfakes) and help develop countermeasures.
• Execute monthly security solution validation, health checks, and support metrics/KPI reporting.
• Assist in evaluating new security tools and maintain accurate documentation of incidents, runbooks, and lessons learned.

Required profile

• Experience working within an Information Security or SOC environment.
• Ability to interact with IT peers, collect and analyze security data, and maintain system documentation.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on proactive defense.
