Sales Representative – AI‑Powered Steel Marketplace

About the role

The Sales Representative will drive adoption and growth of Routres Routres’ AI‑powered digital commodities marketplace, which modernises global steel trade. You will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and onboarding to negotiation, deal execution and post‑sale support, while building trusted relationships with buyers and suppliers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end marketplace sales, including lead generation, client onboarding, negotiation, order execution and coordination of delivery.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and suppliers, ensuring a seamless, transparent digital transaction experience.
• Leverage marketplace tools, AI‑driven insights and analytics to monitor offers, understand pricing trends and optimise deal structures.
• Identify new business opportunities, expand the user base and grow sales of long and flat steel products across regions, including cross‑border connections between Latin America, Europe and Asia.
• Provide personalised consultation and advisory support, helping clients navigate market conditions and optimise procurement strategies.
• Collaborate with Operations, Logistics, Finance, Compliance, Product and Technology teams to ensure accurate, timely and compliant order execution.
• Stay up‑to‑date on global steel market dynamics, competitor activity and commodity price trends, and prepare sales forecasts and performance reports for leadership.

• Proven ability to manage the complete sales cycle in a B2B environment.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with an emphasis on trust and responsiveness.
• Analytical mindset capable of using data‑driven insights to uncover growth opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills for advising clients on market conditions and platform usage.
• Willingness to collaborate across multiple internal functions to deliver seamless order execution.
