Sales Development Representative – Insurance & Financial Services

About the role

Emagia is building a Sales Development Representative team in Costa Rica to generate qualified pipeline for its AI‑driven finance platform in the US market. The role focuses on insurance and financial services firms, prospecting senior finance leaders and driving top‑of‑funnel activity.

Key responsibilities

• Execute high‑volume outbound prospecting via cold calls, personalized email sequences and LinkedIn outreach to US‑based insurance, fintech, payments and other financial institutions.
• Research and map target accounts to identify CFOs, VPs of Finance, Controllers, Credit & Collections Directors and GBS/SSC leaders.
• Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns within US time‑zone SLA windows.
• Maintain accurate activity and pipeline data in CRM (Salesforce or HubSpot) and sales engagement tools (Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, etc.).
• Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospects’ O2C processes and systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) before handing off to a US‑based Account Executive.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of proven SDR/BDR experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, enterprise technology, insurance or financial services.
• Demonstrated success selling into or supporting the US market and ability to work US business hours.
• Full professional fluency in English with a confident phone presence for senior US executives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics or equivalent practical experience.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
• Proficiency with sales engagement tools like Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo or similar.
• Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator for prospecting.
• Strong business writing skills for crafting personalized outreach.
