Research Scientist | $50/hr Remote

About the role

We are seeking a remote Scientific & Laboratory Operations Specialist to support the creation of high‑quality AI training datasets. The contractor will work 10‑40 hours per week, reviewing scientific figures, laboratory reports, and visualizations for accuracy and clarity.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyze scientific figures, laboratory reports, and experimental results for accuracy and clarity.
• Assess dashboards and scientific visualizations, providing expert feedback on integrity and presentation.
• Create rubrics and evaluation stems for interpreting complex industry documents and visual data.
• Interpret and summarize complex scientific information to support AI training dataset development.
• Document observations, highlight inconsistencies, and recommend improvements for scientific accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality project deliverables.

Required profile

• Strong experience in scientific, laboratory, research, manufacturing, or quality environments.
• Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate scientific figures, experiment results, and technical publications.
• Strong analytical reasoning and problem‑solving skills applied to complex scientific content.
• Proficiency in reviewing dashboards, charts, and scientific visualizations for accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication focusing on clear documentation and feedback.
