Research Engineer – Remote Contract (up to $40/hr)

About the role

We are seeking a remote Research Engineer to review, critique, and enhance engineering documentation. The contractor will support AI model training by creating realistic engineering problem sets and ensuring the quality of technical submissions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyze engineering reports, design documents, and technical submissions.
• Provide detailed written feedback and expert commentary on complex engineering scenarios.
• Assess accuracy, clarity, and completeness of multidisciplinary engineering deliverables.
• Develop real‑world engineering examples and problem sets for AI model training.
• Collaborate with the micro1 team to align work with project milestones.
• Share industry best practices and technical insights to improve project methodologies.

Required profile

• Proven experience producing technical reports and design documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on clarity.
• Experience presenting complex engineering concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Track record of contributing to multidisciplinary or cross‑functional engineering projects.
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulatory compliance, or quality‑assurance processes is a plus.
