Remote Care Specialist I

About the role

Join Abbott’s Cardiac Rhythm Technologies team as a Remote Care Specialist I, providing critical support to hospitals and patients using Abbott implanted pacers and defibrillators. You will work in a contact‑center environment, handling emergency calls and coordinating information with sales representatives.

Key responsibilities

• Answer emergency calls from hospital staff regarding patients with Abbott implanted devices.
• Retrieve patient tracking information and record detailed contact data for the calling facility.
• Identify the appropriate Sales Representative for the hospital or region and forward case details via text.
• Make outbound calls to confirm receipt of information by Sales Representatives.
• Triage calls using approved troubleshooting procedures and seek additional assistance when needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in customer service, product support, IT, telecommunications, or a related field.
• Fully bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (C1 level).
• Ability to work onsite at the Aerocentro location in Alajuela.
