Regional Associate Lawyer – Business Development & Client Services

About the role

Trade and Law Services (TLS) is expanding its regional presence in Guanacaste and seeks a qualified Associate Lawyer based in Tamarindo. The role combines legal expertise with business development, serving both national and international clients in the real‑estate and investment sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Represent and strengthen TLS’s institutional presence in Tamarindo and surrounding areas.
• Develop relationships with entrepreneurs, developers, real‑estate brokers, investors and other strategic actors.
• Identify and channel opportunities for legal, fiduciary and closing services.
• Provide initial in‑person assistance and ongoing support to domestic and foreign clients.
• Coordinate legal matters with TLS’s specialized practice areas (corporate, real‑estate, notarial, litigation, insurance, trusts, escrow, closing).
• Participate in meetings, business events and professional networking activities.
• Assist with due‑diligence, procedural steps and other legal services as required.

Required profile

• Law degree and active membership in the Costa Rican Bar Association.
• Verified professional residence or presence in Tamarindo.
• Advanced professional proficiency in English.
• Commercial mindset with a focus on long‑term relationship development.
• Excellent communication, professional presentation and sound legal judgment.
• Ability to work autonomously while coordinating with the firm’s institutional framework.
• Responsible handling of confidential client information.

• Advanced English (professional level).
