Refrigeration Utility Technician III

About the role

The Refrigeration Utility Technician III is responsible for complex industrial maintenance and troubleshooting of ammonia‑based refrigeration systems. Working with minimal supervision, you will ensure the facility’s cooling infrastructure operates safely and meets environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of the industrial ammonia system, including exposure to water‑treatment chemicals.
• Perform preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance throughout the plant.
• Document work orders, conditions, and outcomes using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Operate forklifts and scissor lifts in accordance with standard safety procedures.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement projects and provide feedback to management.
• Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and maintain a clean work environment.

Required profile

• In‑depth knowledge of multiple industrial refrigeration and ammonia systems.
• Ability to work independently with little guidance.
• Experience providing operational feedback and supporting improvement initiatives.
• Possession of one or more refrigeration operations certifications.
• Commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
