Record to Report Analyst

About the role

Join Lonza's Finance Shared Services team in San Jose, Costa Rica as a Record to Report (RTR) Analyst. You will support accurate financial reporting and month‑end close activities for a global life‑sciences organization.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close tasks, including accruals, pre‑payments, provisions, rebates and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and work with stakeholders to resolve them promptly.
• Maintain accurate general‑ledger records in compliance with Lonza policies, US GAAP and IFRS.
• Identify and implement improvements to RTR processes, controls and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with senior analysts and internal partners to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Support internal and external audit requirements by preparing documentation and ensuring audit readiness.
• Provide cross‑functional assistance to accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or technical qualification in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience in a Record‑to‑Report, General Ledger or shared‑services accounting environment.
• Knowledge of month‑end close processes, balance‑sheet reconciliations and general‑ledger accounting.
• Understanding of accounting principles; exposure to US GAAP or IFRS is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Effective communication in English and ability to collaborate with global stakeholders.
