R&D Technician – Electrophysiology (central shift)

About the role
This position supports new product development and transfer projects in an R&D laboratory focused on electrophysiology medical devices. The technician works on a central shift, assembling high‑quality devices using a variety of specialized equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Support R&D builds with multiple machines and processes such as laser cutting, reflow soldering, and adhesive bonding.
- Oversee daily operations of the R&D laboratory and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
- Assist in new process development, transfer activities, and lift‑and‑shift coordination.
- Train operators and technicians, acting as a “train‑the‑trainer”.
- Handle administrative tasks related to orders, CAPEX, and purchase orders.
- Collaborate with team leads, engineers, and area experts to generate and implement practical ideas.
- Collect improvement suggestions from production staff to boost quality and productivity.
Required profile
- High school diploma; technical degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field.
- Active engineering student with no more than 25% of the degree completed.
- 0‑3 years of hands‑on experience in process development or manufacturing.
- Experience in a regulated environment (GMP, ISO, FDA) is a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of good documentation practices.
- Six Sigma yellow/green belt desirable.
