R&D Engineer II – Endoscopy Sustaining

About the role

Boston Scientific is seeking a collaborative R&D Engineer II to join the Endoscopy Sustaining R&D team. In this hybrid position you will protect product quality, compliance, and business continuity for a portfolio of commercial medical devices, while supporting design and process improvements throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to sustaining projects including design changes, material evaluations, process improvements, testing, and documentation.
• Plan and manage work to meet project milestones with limited supervision.
• Design, coordinate, and execute engineering tests; analyze data and draw technical conclusions.
• Develop or coordinate tooling, fixtures, test methods, and equipment for evaluations and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot product, material, process, or equipment issues and support root‑cause investigations.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation such as protocols, reports, specifications, and design change analyses.
• Partner with quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, marketing, process development, and global engineering teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Ability to analyze technical data and support design/process improvements.
• Experience working on moderate‑complexity projects with limited supervision.
• Willingness to work on‑site at least three days per week in a hybrid model.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
