Project Manager - Localization Projects

About the role

LanguageLine is looking for a Project Manager to manage and execute client projects, reporting to the Senior Project Manager or Program Supervisor. The role coordinates the resources needed for timely and accurate project completion, keeps clients and sales representatives informed through scheduled reports, and works with linguists and other staff to deliver projects on time and in line with the contracted services.

Key responsibilities

• Help prepare project plans, including time schedules, assignment of human and technical resources and budget forecasts.
• Manage and complete projects according to the Process Book, and refer issues or improvements to the process improvement team.
• Coordinate resource requirements, including formatting and quality assurance through the matrix.
• Work with the management team to arrange and assign linguists, and manage contractor delivery.
• Keep records of which production people were used for each project and language, and notify leadership of issues that could affect timelines or budgets.
• Monitor quality control procedures, review and approve linguists' invoices, and report project status to sales representatives.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and in line with the Quote or XTRF and client parameters, and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of database functions and concepts.
• Ability to work independently and to manage changing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Excellent oral and written English and interpersonal skills; foreign language skills are a plus.
• For U.S. positions, authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

• MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Project management fundamentals as applied to the localization industry.
