Project Architect – Critical Facilities

About the role

Gensler’s Critical Facilities team seeks a multi‑talented Project Architect to design and deliver high‑tech architecture projects such as data centers, command and control centers, and research facilities. You will work with global and regional leaders to expand Gensler’s presence in India and the surrounding region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client, team, and consultant coordination, including full documentation with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, and life‑safety consultants.
• Lead project teams through concept, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration, ensuring technical quality and design intent.
• Oversee submittals, RFIs, and construction observations, and interface with code and permitting consultants.
• Contribute to proposals, contracts, and financial performance of projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture with at least 5 years of experience on critical‑facilities or similarly complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of materials, construction techniques, building codes, and sustainability practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple aspects of a project and maintain productive client relationships.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit (BIM360 mandatory).
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Familiarity with SketchUp, Rhino, Enscape, V-Ray, and Grasshopper.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
