Programme Analyst, Innovation and Entrepreneurship

About the role

UN Women Costa Rica is recruiting a Programme Analyst in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NPPSA-9) in San Jose. Reporting to the Programme Coordinator for Costa Rica, the analyst supports the office's programmes by contributing to design, formulation, implementation and evaluation, and coordinates relationships with national partners and stakeholders. The work is linked to the SDG Fund Joint Programme with UNDP and UN Habitat, which strengthens a gender-responsive local innovation ecosystem and supports women-led enterprises, green sectors and rural communities.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to programme strategies and give substantive input to proposals and annual workplans and budgets
• Coordinate calls for proposals, including technical review committees and partner capacity assessments
• Review and monitor partner financial and narrative reports, and train partners on Results-Based Management
• Develop monitoring tools, track progress and draft monitoring reports and donor reports
• Support budget implementation, financial reporting and resource mobilization, including private sector and local government opportunities
• Provide technical support to inter-agency coordination and joint programmes, and help draft background reports and briefs
• Support advocacy, knowledge building and communication, and prepare knowledge products on innovation and entrepreneurship
