Production Supervisor (Shift A - B)

About the role

As a Production Supervisor on Shift A‑B at Baxter’s Cartago plant, you will lead a team to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing of life‑saving products. You will be the point of contact for process control, quality standards, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities, guaranteeing adherence to build requirements, specifications, and procedures.
• Maintain high standards of process control, including inventory oversight, accident prevention, DPMs, and complaint handling.
• Uphold a safe work environment and promote a collaborative culture.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, SOX, 6S and other company policies.
• Develop, attract, and retain talent within the area, providing training where needed.
• Drive continuous‑improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Poka‑Yoke, Kanban, JIT, Ishikawa, FMEA and related tools.
• Meet production plan targets for mix and volume as defined by the planning department.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising manufacturing or production teams.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations and ISO standards.
• Ability to lead, coach and develop personnel.
• Experience applying continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Technical suitability confirmed through facts; engineering background optional.
