Procurement/Sourcing Specialist III

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Category Specialist/Analyst to turn complex procurement data into actionable insights that support strategic sourcing and value capture across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Provide analytical support for category portfolios, performing spend, supplier, market and financial analysis to uncover sourcing opportunities and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Develop category dashboards, executive‑level presentations and analytical summaries that communicate findings, trends, risks and recommendations.
• Evaluate supplier operational and financial performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support monthly Value Capture KPI reporting and track key category targets, projects, pipeline, savings/value delivery and AOP financial targets.
• Partner with Category Managers and business stakeholders to define reporting requirements and improve procurement processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Data Analytics or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in procurement, category analytics, strategic sourcing or related analytical roles.
• Proven ability to analyze large, complex data sets and develop executive‑level presentations.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in cost, variance, scenario and business‑case analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple analytical requests in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
