Procurement Leader

About the role

Tegra Medical Costa Rica seeks a Procurement Leader to transform the procurement function into a strategic, data‑driven partner that delivers business value. You will lead the Buyer team and collaborate across supply chain, operations, finance, quality, engineering and warehouse functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the Procurement team.
• Build and execute strategic sourcing and category strategies.
• Negotiate with suppliers and strengthen strategic relationships.
• Drive cost‑reduction and cost‑avoidance initiatives.
• Develop supplier performance improvement plans and mitigate supply risks.
• Use procurement, inventory and financial data to inform decisions.
• Improve procurement processes and support supply continuity in a regulated medical device environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proven experience leading and developing procurement professionals.
• Strong analytical and financial skills.
• Advanced English, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP or a comparable ERP system.
• Advanced Excel skills.
