Principal Data Architect / Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Principal-level Data Architect / Engineer to design and build the next generation of our data platform. This role will create a modern, scalable analytical data foundation that unifies data from operational, financial, CRM, web, and other systems, supporting trusted reporting, self‑service analytics, and LLM‑based data experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Define the target data architecture and technical roadmap for a modern analytical platform.
• Design and implement data solutions on Snowflake or Google BigQuery.
• Build and maintain ingestion, transformation, modeling, and orchestration pipelines across multiple business systems.
• Establish modern ETL/ELT patterns using tools such as dbt, Fivetran, Airbyte, Dagster, Airflow, or equivalents.
• Design canonical data models and governed semantic structures for core business entities and metrics.
• Implement data quality, reconciliation, observability, lineage, and monitoring practices.
• Integrate LLMs and conversational interfaces with governed data sources, including retrieval and semantic‑layer approaches.
• Partner with business and product stakeholders to translate definitions into durable data models.
• Guide migration away from legacy analytics/reporting infrastructure while preserving critical capabilities.
• Establish engineering standards, documentation, testing, deployment, and operational‑readiness practices.

Required profile

• Significant experience designing and building enterprise analytical data platforms.
• Deep hands‑on experience with Snowflake and/or Google BigQuery.
• Strong SQL and data‑modeling expertise.
• Experience with modern ETL/ELT architectures, orchestration, and transformation frameworks.
• Proven ability to integrate data across transactional databases, SaaS systems, APIs, CRM, finance, and web/marketing platforms.
• Practical experience integrating LLMs with structured enterprise data systems.
