People Partner

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR professional to serve as a People Partner for our sites in Limón and Caldera, Costa Rica. In this on‑site position you will work closely with operational and senior leaders, turning people priorities into practical business solutions and shaping the employee experience across both locations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with operational and senior leaders to understand business and people priorities.
• Advise on employee relations, performance, organizational design, workforce planning and talent matters.
• Navigate unionized workplace dynamics and complex labor‑relations situations.
• Manage employee‑relations cases, investigations and disciplinary processes in line with Costa Rican labor law.
• Lead restructuring, change‑management and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Drive the annual HR cycle: performance management, salary reviews, talent reviews, succession planning and engagement actions.
• Support workforce and headcount planning based on operational needs.
• Use HR data and insights to identify risks, trends and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with People Advisors, Talent Acquisition, Centers of Expertise and other internal teams to deliver integrated HR solutions.
• Assist with organizational communication, town‑halls and employee‑engagement initiatives.
• Contribute to audits, policy implementation and regulatory compliance.
• Travel to Caldera approximately once per month for on‑site support.

Required profile

• University degree.
• Minimum five years of experience as an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner or People Partner.
• Proven experience working in a unionized environment.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations and Costa Rican labor legislation.
• Advanced English and Spanish communication skills.
• Experience advising operational and senior leaders.
• Strong stakeholder‑management, influencing and change‑leadership capabilities.
• Availability to work fully on‑site in Limón (Monday‑Friday) and travel within Costa Rica, including monthly trips to Caldera.
