Payroll Tax Specialist (Bilingual)

About the role

The Payroll Tax Specialist will monitor, reconcile and support tax compliance across multiple states and entities on a pay‑period basis. Acting as a subject‑matter expert, you will manage tax filings, reporting and reconciliation with third‑party tax vendors and government agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile payroll taxes after each pay period and maintain tax accounts in the vendor system.
• Prepare and review statutory tax filings (e.g., 941s, W‑2s) and associated notices.
• Support quarter‑end and year‑end tax reporting, including W‑2 preparation.
• Collaborate with Finance on payroll tax accruals, journal entries and account structure changes.
• Perform internal audits of payroll tax data and prepare materials for auditors.
• Maintain relationships with third‑party tax vendors and address tax exceptions with Payroll Managers.
• Assist in implementing process improvements and new technologies for tax compliance.
• Provide payroll‑related tax data to internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bilingual proficiency (English and another language).
• Experience in multi‑state, multi‑entity payroll tax compliance.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, filings and reconciliation.
• Preferred FPC or CPP designation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Finance, HRIS and Payroll teams.
