Opex Engineer I – Manufacturing Optimization

About the role

The Opex Engineer I will support tactical planning and capacity optimization for a Baxter manufacturing plant. This role focuses on improving resource efficiency, material flow, and overall production performance while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Measure, evaluate, and improve line capacity and production standards.
• Develop and maintain capacity models to capture and analyse plant data.
• Implement improvement projects that increase floor efficiency, eliminate non‑value‑added tasks, and grow line capacity.
• Optimize material flows, reduce product loss, scrap, and process waste.
• Support facility‑wide efficiency management systems and automation initiatives.
• Generate operational reports and assist with short‑ and medium‑term capacity planning.
• Promote compliance with GMP, GDP, EHS, and other regulatory requirements.
